IT-pooli - integration and interaction

IT-pooli is an association formed by over 20 strong ICT-companies. The mission of the association, a voluntary union of ICT companies, is to support current activities of its members and promote their strategic development and networking, therefore contributing to the formation and growth of competitive system of ICT development.

One of the main objectives of the association is to consolidate Kainuu area ICT-enterprises. Integration and interaction of ICT enterprises contributes to more successful development of the ICT sector in general and each company in particular. Also by joining the efforts of several companies at association level, implementation of large-scale orders becomes possible.

The association accumulates information on ICT enterprises and distributes it through various channels including its web-portal. The Association also analyses specialized information and provides assistance to its members in locating external orders.

Kainuu, Finland possesses a significant potential for offering information technology services, especially in the field of Internet media, software development and ICT outsourcing. This is accounted for by the following factors: more than thirty years of positive experience and traditions, excessive ICT human capital and a well established system of education and training in this field, competitive prices for information technologies development services, existing experience in offering ICT services.

High priority is given to finding new international cooperation projects.
